Machine Leg Curl - Hamstring Exercise

This exercise is the Machine Leg Curl. You can hit your hamstrings in a slightly different way with single-joint movement.

Your feet should be pointing straight ahead and hip-width apart at the start.  While conducting the exercise, you should concentrate on your hamstring muscles as you push the resistance roller pad down.

Common errors include:

  • Shift forward in the seat for leverage. 
  • Allowing the hips to move
  • Core instability
  • Back hyperextension
  • Knee hyperextension
  • Excessive momentum

Exercise Execution:

  • Sit on knee table.
  • Place bolster pads behind ankle of involved leg.
  • Begin with knee straight.
  • Bend right knee and straighten.
  • Repeat.
